Principal's Welcome

To the parents, past students, friends and well wishers of Knox Junior School and the Knox complex of schools in general, welcome to the new Knox Junior School website. Just look at us now.

Knox Junior for the past eleven years, have chartered new territories and we continue to let the sky be our limit in all areas of curricular and extracurricular activities. We seek to be the best of our kind in the parish, the country and the island. We are therefore continuously reinventing ourselves as we aim to meet all the challenges of a rapidly changing society. In this global economic climate, it is not an easy task but we are sure that if all members of the vast Knox family give us a helping hand in some way, we will excel, regardless of the obstacles.

For the new academic year we aim to surpass all our successes of the academic year 2008 to 2009. Our academic achievements, while being of a high standard, must improve. Our efforts in track and field, football and netball must be of a higher standard. Our quiz team will be aiming to make it to at least the semi-finals, our dancers and musicians must return to their former dominance. This year, as a new venture we aspire to enter the National Cheerleading competition. All these ventures require financial help. While we have never allowed lack of financing to stop our progress, adequate funding certainly makes the task easier.

So I implore you all to pledge to help us. Over the next few weeks you will see a list of our needs. You will also be able to use the website to make donations towards our various ventures. If you want to adopt a particular area let me know.

For those of you living in Jamaica , plan to attend and support our fundraisers. We will be posting our activities under notices so you can be regularly updated. We are a great school, certainly a cut above the rest. As we continue to reach for excellence, you can be assured that we will certainly strive to serve and not to yield. We are always aiming to be the best. If you give us your support, you can be assured that whatever you do for us will be greatly appreciated.
